RELEASE: Auchincloss Secures District Wins in House Appropriations Package

“Minibus” Includes Auchincloss Community Project Funding Requests 

Washington, DC — The House passed part of its annual appropriations package in a “minibus” that included key wins for the Fourth District. Included in passage was funding for Community Project Funding (CPF) requests sponsored by Congressman Auchincloss. 

“The Massachusetts Fourth, from Fall River to Brookline, is a powerhouse of talent and work ethic,” said Auchincloss. “These critical funds will make our communities cleaner, stronger, and safer. Investing in infrastructure and getting localities the funds they need to reach their full economic potential will help our District and Commonwealth reach the next level.”

  • Fall River Waterfront Stormwater Corridor, Fall River                                                            Amount of Request: $5,327,609 Amount Received: $3,452,972

  • Foxborough Sewer Design Route 1                                                                                           Amount of Request: $400,000 Amount Received: $400,000

  • PFAS Treatment for Dustin/Prescott Wells, Mansfield                                                           Amount of Request: $2,000,000 Amount Received: $2,000,000 

  • Reconstruction of the West Street / Route 27 Intersection, Medfield                                  Amount of Request: $1,300,000 Amount Received: $1,300,000 

  • Millis Water Supply PFAS treatment planning, design, construction, Millis                        Amount of Request: $6,100,000 Amount Received: $3,452,972 

  • Newton Commuter Rail Stations Accessibility Improvements, Newton                               Amount of Request: $7,000,000 Amount Received: $7,000,000

  • Town of Sharon’s PFAS Water Treatment Plant, Sharon                                                         Amount of Request: $9,500,000 Amount Received: $3,452,972

  • Hot & Cold Lane Tank THM Removal System, Somerset                                                       Amount of Request: $4,000,000 Amount Received: $3,200,000

  • East Bridge Replacement Project, Town of Raynham / City of Taunton, MA, Taunton       Amount of Request: $6,000,000 Amount Received: $5,000,000

  • Feasibility Study to Dredge Hopedale Pond and Daylight the Mill River for Community Resilience and Water Quality Improvements                                                                           Amount of Request: $750,000
